How to Craft a Stone Chest

Gather the Materials

A Stone Chest is the entry point for the entire chest family. You need two things: a Stone Part and a vanilla chest.

1. Mine cobblestone and smelt it into smooth stone, or mine stone directly with a silk touch pickaxe.

2. Craft the stone into a Stone Part using the crafting table.

3. Combine the Stone Part with a chest in a shaped recipe to produce the Stone Chest.

Place and Use It

Place the Stone Chest like any normal chest. It stores items the same way a vanilla chest does. Two Stone Chests placed side by side will not merge into a double chest unless the recipe output supports it — place them apart if you want separate inventories.

Because every chest in this mod is made from a stone-type block plus a Part, the Stone Chest is your template. Once you understand the Stone Part → Stone Chest step, every other variant follows the same logic with a different stone block. Keep a stack of Stone Parts on hand so you can convert spare chests whenever you gather a new stone type.
