How to Craft a Deepslate Chest

Get Deepslate

Deepslate spawns below Y=0 in the overworld. Mine it with an iron pickaxe or better. You can use the raw Deepslate block directly, or process it into Polished Deepslate, Deepslate Bricks, Deepslate Tiles, Cobbled Deepslate, Chiseled Deepslate, Cracked Deepslate Bricks, or Cracked Deepslate Tiles — each of these has its own matching chest.

Craft the Part and Chest

1. Turn your chosen deepslate block into a Deepslate Part at the crafting table.

2. Combine the Deepslate Part with a chest in a shaped recipe to get the Deepslate Chest.

The same pattern applies to every deepslate variant. For example, Polished Deepslate becomes a Polished Deepslate Part, then a Polished Deepslate Chest. Cracked Deepslate Bricks and Cracked Deepslate Tiles each have their own Part and Chest. Cobbled Deepslate has its own Part and Chest as well.

Use these chests when you build underground bases and want storage that blends into deepslate walls. Because the recipe is shaped, keep the Part in a consistent slot when batch-crafting so you do not waste materials.
