How to Craft a Blackstone Chest

Blackstone generates in the Nether, mainly in bastion remnants and around lava. Mine it with any pickaxe. You can also craft Polished Blackstone, Chiseled Polished Blackstone, Polished Blackstone Bricks, and Cracked Polished Blackstone Bricks from it — each has a matching chest.

Craft the Part and Chest

1. Craft a Blackstone Part from your Blackstone block.

2. Combine the Blackstone Part with a chest in a shaped recipe to produce the Blackstone Chest.

For the polished variants, swap the input block. Polished Blackstone makes a Polished Blackstone Part, which makes a Polished Blackstone Chest. Chiseled Polished Blackstone, Polished Blackstone Bricks, and Cracked Polished Blackstone Bricks each follow the same one-block-to-one-Part-to-one-Chest chain.

Blackstone Chests are useful in Nether outposts and basalt deltas where you want storage that matches the surrounding blocks. Bring a crafting table and spare chests into the Nether so you can convert Blackstone on site instead of hauling it home.
