Customizing Your Tram Route on City Tracks
Planning Your Route
Before laying tracks, decide where your tram line will run. Soviet-era trams work best on:
- Flat or gently sloped urban streets
- Routes that connect multiple stations or districts
- Areas with overhead wire infrastructure (if using powered models)
Laying Tracks
Use Immersive Railroading's track-laying tools to create your route:
1. Place track segments along your planned path
2. Ensure tracks are level and properly connected
3. Add curves and switches for branching routes
4. Install overhead wire supports if your tram model requires them
Adding Stations and Stops
- Create designated station platforms alongside the track
- Use blocks to build authentic Soviet-style station shelters
- Space stops logically to simulate a real transit line
Testing Your Route
Spawn a tram on the track and test acceleration, braking, and turning at each curve. Adjust track alignment if the tram derails or moves erratically.
