How to Get Tungsten and Chorundum Ore

Finding the Ores

§eTungsten Ore and §eChorundum Ore are the two base ores you mine to start the mod's gear progression. Both drop raw materials: §eTungsten Ore yields §eRaw Tungsten, and §eChorundum Ore yields §eChorundum. Mine them with a pickaxe of sufficient tier and bring the drops back to a furnace or blast furnace.

Processing Raw Materials

Smelt or blast §eRaw Tungsten into §eTungsten Ingot. The §eTungsten Ingot is the core ingredient for the entire tungsten tool and armor line, so process every raw piece you mine. §eChorundum is used directly in its raw form for the chorundum gear set.

What to Craft First

From §eTungsten Ingot you can craft §eTungsten Sword, §eTungsten Pickaxe, §eTungsten Axe, §eTungsten Shovel, §eTungsten Hoe, §eTungsten Hammer, and the §eTungsten Shield, plus §eTungsten Helmet, §eTungsten Chestplate, §eTungsten Leggings, and §eTungsten Boots. From §eChorundum you craft the matching §eChorundum Sword, §eChorundum Pickaxe, §eChorundum Axe, §eChorundum Shovel, §eChorundum Hoe, §eChorundum Shield, and the §eChorundum Helmet, §eChorundum Chestplate, §eChorundum Leggings, and §eChorundum Boots.

Priority Order

Craft a §eTungsten Pickaxe first so you can keep mining, then a §eTungsten Sword and §eTungsten Shield for survivability. Move to §eChorundum gear once you have enough §eChorundum stockpiled. Keep spare §eTungsten Ingot for the §eTungsten Hammer, which is useful for bulk block breaking.
