Navigate the New End Biomes and Find Rare Resources
Exploring Biome Types
The End now contains 23 distinct biomes spread across floating islands at varying heights. Start by traveling outward from the main island and note the terrain changes. Fields biomes offer open grassland, while Barrens present hilly, sparse landscapes. Forests are densely vegetated and harder to traverse. Frozen variants of these biomes appear as pale, icy regions—useful landmarks for navigation.
Locating Resources
Each biome type supports different flora and block palettes. Explore multiple biome zones to gather varied materials:
- Fields and Forests: Vegetation and organic blocks
- Barrens: Stone and mineral-rich terrain
- Frozen zones: Pale blocks and ice variants
Use the height variation to your advantage. Islands now generate at different elevations, so scout both high and low areas. Bring blocks for building bridges between islands, as the void gaps are wider than vanilla End terrain. Mark promising biomes with torches or beacons so you can return for specific resources later.
