Reduce or Increase Fog Density for Better Visibility

Adjusting Fog Settings

Static Dream Terminal reworks world fog as a core feature, but you may need to adjust it depending on your gameplay needs:

1. Open your shader settings menu

2. Find the fog or atmosphere adjustment section

3. Look for fog density or distance sliders

4. Decrease the value to see further and reduce the suffocating effect

5. Increase the value to enhance isolation and mystery

Balancing Atmosphere and Gameplay

Thicker fog creates stronger liminal horror but can make survival gameplay difficult if you can't see threats or resources. For exploration or building, you might prefer lighter fog. For pure atmospheric immersion or horror roleplay, maximum fog intensity works best.

Testing Changes

Adjustments take effect immediately. Walk around your world after each change to see how visibility and mood shift. You can always revert to a preset if your custom settings don't feel right, then make smaller adjustments from there.
