Enhance Volumetric Fog in Specific Biomes
Locate Fog Settings
Access the shader menu and find the Fog, Atmosphere, or Volumetric section. This is where you control how fog spreads across your world.
Adjust Fog Density and Color
Modify these core parameters:
- Fog density – Controls how thick the fog appears; higher values create denser, more visible fog
- Fog color – Often tied to biome type and time of day; some shaders let you customize this
- Fog distance – Sets how far fog extends from the player
- Fog height – Controls whether fog concentrates near ground level or spreads higher
Biome-Specific Effects
Some shader versions apply different fog characteristics to different biomes automatically. Swamp biomes may show thicker fog, while mountains show clearer air. Visit various biomes to observe how volumetric fog adapts.
Fine-Tune for Atmosphere
Increase density during dawn and dusk for dramatic atmospheric effects. Reduce it in bright daylight if it feels too overwhelming. Test in open landscapes versus forests to see how fog interacts with terrain.
