Fix Broken Spell Tags in Your World

Understanding Magic Tag Errors

The Spell Engine system uses magic tags to determine which armor pieces can accept which enchantments. Previous versions had broken tags that prevented valid armor from being enchanted. This datapack repairs those tags.

Activating the Fix

1. Ensure the datapack is added to your world folder

2. Load your world or create a new one with the datapack enabled

3. Run /datapack list in chat to confirm it shows as active

4. If it's not listed, use /datapack enable with the datapack name

Testing the Repair

Once active, attempt to enchant armor that previously rejected spells:

  • Try applying Sunfire, Energize, or Soulfrost to pieces that failed before
  • Check multiple armor sets from different mods
  • Use an anvil to combine armor with spell books

Scope of the Fix

This datapack specifically addresses magic tag compatibility across the Spell Engine system. It doesn't change how spells function—only which armor can receive them. If you're in the Prominence II modpack, this fix ensures all your spell gear works as intended.
