How to Build Your First Wand and Start Casting Spells

Gather Materials from Arcanewood Grove

Head to the Arcanewood Grove biome to find Arcanewood trees. Harvest the wood and any magical resources you find—these form the base of your starter wand. You'll also need to collect basic spell reagents, which can be found scattered throughout magical biomes or traded for emeralds at Hogsmeade village.

Craft and Equip Your Arcanewood Wand

Use a crafting table to combine your Arcanewood materials into a wand. Once crafted, equip it in your hand. Open your spell loadout menu to see your twelve available spell slots. Start by learning Basic tier spells at the spell learning table—these have shorter cast times and lower mana costs, making them ideal for beginners.

Cast Your First Spells

With your wand equipped and spells loaded, aim at a target and click to cast. Watch your mana bar deplete with each spell. Between casts, your mana regenerates automatically. Practice on weak mobs first to understand cast times and cooldown mechanics before facing tougher enemies. As you cast more spells, you'll gain wizard experience and level up.
