Experiencing End Dimension Shader Changes
Travel to the End
Construct and activate an End portal using the standard vanilla method. Upon entering the End dimension, the shader immediately reworks the sky, replacing the normal starfield with thick storm clouds and moody atmospheric effects.
Observe Storm Cloud Layers
The End sky features heavy cloud coverage that creates a dramatic, ominous backdrop for your dragon fight. The clouds are darker and more turbulent than Overworld weather, reinforcing the dimension's hostile nature. The shader maintains this effect throughout your entire End visit.
Combat and Visibility
The stormy sky doesn't reduce visibility for combat—the shader balances cinematic atmosphere with playability. You'll still see the Ender Dragon clearly and navigate the island without difficulty. The moody lighting actually enhances the intensity of the fight.
Return to Overworld
When you exit the End, the shader immediately switches back to normal Overworld sky effects, including the lunar cycle and mist. This transition is seamless and reinforces the End as a distinct, visually separate realm within your world.
