How to Get Corrupted Ingot from Corrupted Essence

Smelt Corrupted Essence

Corrupted Ingot comes from smelting Corrupted Essence. Place Corrupted Essence in the top slot of a furnace and add fuel in the bottom slot. The furnace produces one Corrupted Ingot per Corrupted Essence smelted. This is the only smelting recipe in the mod, so all Corrupted Ingot you obtain comes from this step.

Collect Enough Essence

Corrupted Essence drops from mobs you kill. Farm hostile mobs at night or in a dark area to build up a supply. Because each ingot costs one essence plus fuel, gather more essence than you think you need, especially if you plan to craft multiple Soul Cages.

Use the Ingots

Corrupted Ingot is the material for crafting the Soul Cage block. Once you have smelted your essence into ingots, take them to a crafting table and combine them into a Soul Cage. Do not try to eat or place Corrupted Ingot; it is a crafting material only.
