How to Craft and Use a Soul Cage

Craft the Soul Cage

The Soul Cage is the block that turns captured souls into spawning mobs. Craft it at a crafting table using Corrupted Ingot. Corrupted Ingot is produced by smelting Corrupted Essence in a furnace. Smelt enough Corrupted Essence to get the ingots you need, then arrange them in the crafting grid to form the Soul Cage block.

Place and Activate It

Place the Soul Cage on the ground where you want mobs to appear. Insert a Soul Shard that already contains souls into the cage. The cage reads the shard and begins spawning the corresponding mob nearby. Keep the area lit or dark depending on which mob you want, and make sure there is floor space for spawns.

Manage Your Souls

Remove the Soul Shard to stop spawning. Put it back to resume. If you want a different mob type, fill a fresh Soul Shard with that mob's souls and swap it in. The Soul Cage itself is not consumed and can be reused indefinitely.
