How to Make Edible Soul Sand and Eat It

Edible Soul Sand is the food item in this mod. The output is Edible Soul Sand, which you can then move into your inventory. Set up a furnace near your soul sand source so you can convert a stack at a time instead of running back and forth.

Eating It in the Field

Once you have Edible Soul Sand, put it on your hotbar. Select it and hold the use button to eat, exactly as you would with any other food. This restores hunger so you can keep sprinting, mining, and fighting without stopping to cook. Because it comes out of a furnace, it is worth smelting a batch before a long trip rather than one at a time. Keep a spare stack in your inventory or an ender chest, and remember that eating takes a moment during which you are vulnerable — step away from mobs before you take a bite.
