Enhance Sky and Lighting During Day and Night

Access Lighting Options

Open shader settings and find the Sky, Atmosphere, or Lighting menu section.

Adjust Daytime Lighting

Look for:

• Sky Brightness: Controls overall daytime illumination. Increase for brighter, sunnier days; decrease for overcast appearance.
• Sun Intensity: Adjusts how bright the sun disk appears and how strong direct sunlight is on blocks.
• Ambient Light: Affects how bright shadowed areas are. Higher values reduce contrast; lower values create deeper shadows.

Configure Night Settings

Find night-specific controls:

• Moon Brightness: Makes moonlit nights more or less visible.
• Night Ambient: Determines visibility in dark areas at night. Increase slightly if caves or night exploration feel too dark.
• Star Intensity: Some packs let you adjust starfield brightness.

Test Across Time

Use the /time set command to cycle through day and night quickly. Observe how your adjustments affect visibility and atmosphere. Balanced settings should make daytime feel naturally bright while keeping nights atmospheric without being unplayable. Save once satisfied.
