How to Craft and Use a Solar Helmet

Pick Your Tier

Every panel tier has a matching helmet: Leadstone Solar Helmet, Hardened Solar Helmet, Redstone Solar Helmet, Signalum Solar Helmet, Resonant Solar Helmet, Advanced Solar Helmet, and Ultimate Solar Helmet. The helmet generates while you wear it, so it is the portable counterpart to the stationary panel blocks.

Craft the Helmet

Each helmet is built from its tier's Solar Core. For example, the Leadstone Solar Helmet uses the Leadstone Solar Core, the Hardened Solar Helmet uses the Hardened Solar Core, and so on up to the Ultimate Solar Core. Photovoltaic Cell components and Lapis Shard appear in the lower-tier recipes.

Wear It and Keep It Charged

Equip the helmet in your head slot. It generates only when you are standing under open sky — going underground or under a roof stops generation. If you want steady output, stay on the surface or build an open-topped base.

Match Helmet to Panel

If you already run a Redstone Solar Panel at your base, craft the Redstone Solar Helmet so both use the same core tier. Upgrading means crafting the next core up and rebuilding the helmet. The full ladder is Leadstone, Hardened, Redstone, Signalum, Resonant, Advanced, Ultimate.
