Standard Sandstone

Craft Snow Covered Sandstone Slab, Snow Covered Sandstone Stairs, Snow Covered Cut Sandstone Slab, and Snow Covered Smooth Sandstone Slab. The cut and smooth slabs give you flatter faces than the plain sandstone slab, which is useful when you want the snow layer to read as a thin cap rather than a textured top.

Red Sandstone

Red sandstone follows the same pattern. Craft Snow Covered Red Sandstone Slab, Snow Covered Red Sandstone Stairs, Snow Covered Cut Red Sandstone Slab, and Snow Covered Smooth Red Sandstone Slab. Use the red set where the surrounding terrain is red sand or red rock so the snow contrasts against the warm base.

Using Them Together

Sandstone slabs and stairs are good for desert builds that need a winter treatment, and for paths where you want a pale base under the snow. Pair a slab with the matching stair of the same texture so the snow surface lines up at corners and steps. Cut and smooth slabs are best for long flat runs; stairs are best for ramps and roof edges.
