How to Craft a Snow-Covered Stairs

What You Need

A Snow-Covered Stairs is made from one stairs block and one snow layer. Any stairs material works — wood, stone, brick, etc.

Crafting Steps

1. Put your stairs and a snow layer in the crafting grid.

2. Take the Snow-Covered Stairs out.

The result is a stairs block with snow on the top surfaces. It keeps the stairs shape, so you can climb it like normal stairs.

Placing It

Right-click the face of a block to place the Snow-Covered Stairs. The stairs will face away from you. You can place them upside down by aiming at the bottom half of a block.

Using It in Builds

Snow-Covered Stairs are good for snowy roofs, porch steps, and hillside paths. Because they are stairs, you can walk up them without jumping. The snow layer on top is purely visual — it does not slow you down or make you slip.

Breaking It

Break the Snow-Covered Stairs with any tool or by hand. It drops itself. A shovel breaks it faster.

Combining

You can place Snow-Covered Stairs next to normal stairs or Snow-Covered Slabs to make a smooth transition between snow-covered and bare blocks.
