Set Up SnapshotXBR Correctly in Your Resource Pack Order
Load Order Matters
SnapshotXBR works best as a companion pack sitting directly under VanillaXBR in your pack menu. This layering ensures new snapshot textures are upscaled cleanly while VanillaXBR's manually refined textures take priority for established content.
How to Arrange Your Packs
1. Open your resource packs folder in Minecraft's settings
2. In the Active section, place VanillaXBR at the top
3. Place SnapshotXBR immediately below it
4. Any other packs should load beneath SnapshotXBR
5. Save and reload your world
Why This Order Works
Minecraft applies packs from bottom to top—lower packs are overridden by higher ones. By stacking SnapshotXBR under VanillaXBR, you get:
- Hand-crafted VanillaXBR textures for stable blocks and mobs
- Automatic xBRZ upscaling for brand-new snapshot content
- No texture conflicts or visual inconsistencies
This setup ensures your game looks polished whether you're using the latest snapshot features or established vanilla content. If you switch Minecraft versions, SnapshotXBR automatically provides fallback coverage for any textures VanillaXBR hasn't updated yet.
