Get Sharp, Upscaled Textures for New Snapshot Items and Mobs

Understanding Automatic Upscaling

SnapshotXBR automatically applies xBRZ scaling to textures from the newest Minecraft snapshots. This means the moment new items, blocks, or mobs appear in a snapshot, they receive clean upscaling without waiting for manual texture work.

What Gets Upscaled

The pack prioritizes:

  • Baby mobs – crisp, detailed versions of young animals
  • Water creatures – fish, axolotls, and aquatic mobs with smooth edges
  • Armor sets – new armor variants rendered at higher quality
  • Blocks and items – any snapshot content not yet manually refined

How to See the Results

1. Load a recent snapshot version with SnapshotXBR active

2. Spawn or find newly added mobs—they'll appear sharper than vanilla

3. Equip new armor or hold new items to see upscaled detail

4. Visit newly generated biomes to see fresh block textures

The xBRZ algorithm preserves pixel art style while enlarging textures smoothly, so nothing looks blurry or over-processed. This keeps your game visually consistent across old and new content, even on the bleeding edge of development.
