Optimize Sword Model Display for Better Visibility
How Sword Models Are Modified
The Smooth PvP Overlay Resource Pack adjusts sword models to take up less screen space, preventing them from blocking your view of opponents during fast-paced combat. The sword is repositioned and scaled to remain visible without dominating your field of vision.
Verify Sword Changes In-Game
Equip a sword and observe how it appears in your first-person view. The model should be noticeably smaller or offset compared to vanilla Minecraft. Look at how much of the center screen the sword occupies—it should leave most of your view clear for tracking enemy movement.
Fine-Tune If Needed
If the sword model still feels too large or positioned awkwardly, you can edit the model file in assets/minecraft/models/item/sword.json. Adjust the translation and scale values to reposition or resize the sword further. Test changes by holding the sword and moving around in combat. The goal is maintaining enough sword visibility to confirm you're holding the weapon while maximizing your ability to see opponents clearly.
