Restore Vanilla Aesthetics While Using Shaders

Disable Aggressive Visual Changes

Open the shader settings with Right Shift + R. Skyrune is designed to preserve vanilla style, but you can ensure maximum vanilla fidelity by:

  • Turning off color grading or saturation boosts if present
  • Disabling bloom or glow effects to keep colors muted
  • Reducing contrast enhancement to maintain the original look

Keep Water Improvements Only

Skyrune's main strength is clear water. Leave water effects enabled while minimizing other visual filters. This gives you the shader's core benefit without heavy aesthetic changes.

Adjust Gamma and Exposure

If the world looks too bright or dark compared to vanilla, find the exposure or gamma slider and adjust to match your preference. This won't change the art style, only brightness balance.

Verify in Different Biomes

Visit forests, deserts, and mountains to ensure colors feel true to vanilla Minecraft. Skyrune should enhance clarity without making grass look unnatural or skies look alien.
