Optimize Shader Performance on Low-End Hardware
Open Shader Configuration
Access the Skyrune Shaders menu using Right Shift + R during gameplay.
Disable Heavy Effects
Skyrune is already optimized, but you can further improve performance by:
- Turning off or lowering shadow quality if available
- Reducing water reflection detail to improve frame rate
- Disabling ambient occlusion or setting it to low
- Lowering render distance in your Minecraft video settings (this affects all shaders)
Adjust Lighting Quality
Reduce dynamic lighting intensity or switch to a simpler lighting mode if your GPU struggles. Skyrune's vanilla-friendly approach means you won't lose the core aesthetic.
Monitor Frame Rate
Use F3 debug screen to watch your FPS. If it dips below your target, disable one more effect and retest. Skyrune is designed to run smoothly, so you should see improvement quickly on budget setups.
