Customize the Sky Color and Cloud Appearance

Locate the Texture Files

The sky background texture is stored in the resource pack's texture folder. Navigate to the pack directory and find the GUI textures section where the background image is defined.

Edit the Sky Texture

Open the sky background image file using an image editor. You can adjust:

• Color tone: Brighten or darken the blue, or shift it toward different times of day (orange sunset, purple twilight)
• Cloud density: Add more clouds, remove them entirely, or create custom cloud patterns
• Gradient: Modify how the sky transitions from top to bottom

Apply Your Changes

Save the edited image in the same format and location. Reload your resource pack in Minecraft by going to Options → Resource Packs, then toggling the pack off and back on. Your custom sky will now appear whenever you open your inventory or crafting screens.

Tips

Keep the image resolution consistent with the original to avoid stretching or distortion. Test different times of day in-game to see how your custom sky looks in various lighting conditions.
