Choose Wool Over Other Colored Blocks
Wool vs. Concrete and Terracotta
Simply Wool Pack makes wool a competitive choice compared to concrete and terracotta. While all three now have flat textures in your world, wool offers unique advantages.
Wool is easier to obtain in large quantities early in the game. You can shear sheep or craft wool from string, making it accessible before you've established concrete or terracotta production. The simplified texture means you won't sacrifice visual quality for this convenience.
Color Availability
Wool comes in more color variations than standard concrete or terracotta, giving you a broader palette for detailed work. With Simply Wool Pack's flat treatment, all these colors appear equally polished and intentional.
Wool also allows for easier color changes—you can dye wool blocks after placement by using dye on them, whereas concrete and terracotta require breaking and replacing blocks to change colors.
When to Choose Wool
Select wool when:
- You're building early-game and need colored blocks quickly
- Your design requires frequent color adjustments
- You want maximum color variety in one material
- You prefer the slightly softer appearance wool provides compared to harder-looking concrete
