Optimize Performance on Low-End Hardware

Select the Appropriate Preset

Simply Solid Shaders includes performance tiers designed for different hardware capabilities. On startup or in shader settings, choose the preset labeled for low-end or potato hardware. This automatically disables demanding visual features while maintaining the clean cartoon look.

Monitor Frame Rate

Load into your world and check your FPS counter (F3 on most setups). If performance still feels sluggish, return to shader settings and look for options to reduce shadow quality or disable advanced lighting calculations. The mod is built to run smoothly, so modest adjustments should restore playability.

Verify Visual Quality

Even on low-end presets, colored lighting from torches and glowing blocks should remain visible and vibrant. If the world looks too dark or washed out after optimization, you've likely over-reduced settings—increase brightness slightly to restore the intended fantasy atmosphere while keeping performance stable.
