How to Craft Your First Basic Jetpack

Gather the Core Materials

Start by producing a Leather Strap and a Basic Thruster. The Leather Strap is the harness that lets the jetpack occupy your chest slot, and the Basic Thruster is the propulsion component every jetpack tier builds on. You also need a Basic Jetpack frame assembled from common metals and the strap.

Assemble and Equip

Combine the Leather Strap, Basic Thruster, and the jetpack frame in a crafting grid to produce the Basic Jetpack. Equip it in the chest armor slot. Once worn, hold the jump key to ascend and release to descend. The Basic Jetpack runs on a limited internal buffer, so keep an eye on its charge.

Plan Your Upgrade Path

From the Basic Jetpack you can branch into Iron Jetpack, Gold Jetpack, Diamond Jetpack, Netherite Jetpack, and the armored variants. Each tier uses a matching Thruster (Iron Thruster, Gold Thruster, Diamond Thruster, Netherite Thruster) plus the previous jetpack. Armored versions add Basic Armor Plating or higher plating for extra protection at the cost of additional materials. Build a Basic Thruster first, then decide whether you want speed (Gold) or durability (Iron) before committing resources.
