Setting Up a Cat Home with Bowls, Litter Boxes, and Tree Furniture

Every tamed cat needs three basics: a Cat Bowl for food, a Litter Box for hygiene, and a Tree Bed for sleeping. Craft each in any color you like — for example a Red Cat Bowl, a Blue Litter Box, and a Green Tree Bed. Colors are cosmetic, so pick whatever matches your build.

Adding Enrichment

Cats use Tree Post blocks to scratch and Tree Box blocks to sit inside. Place at least one of each near the bed. Mount Window Perch blocks on walls so cats can look outside; wood variants include Oak Window Perch, Spruce Window Perch, Birch Window Perch, Jungle Window Perch, Acacia Window Perch, Dark Oak Window Perch, Crimson Window Perch, and Warped Window Perch. Add a matching Scratching Post in the same wood type.

Layout Tips

• Keep the Cat Bowl and Litter Box a few blocks apart.
• Put the Tree Bed in a quiet corner.
• Place Tree Post and Tree Box where the cat spends most of its time.
• Use a Cat Book to check that all needs are met.
• Carry a Pet Carrier so you can move a cat between rooms without losing it.
