Managing Your Cats with the Cat Book, Pet Carrier and Certificates

Core management items

Four items handle day-to-day cat management: the Cat Book, the Pet Carrier, the Adoption Certificate and the Release Certificate. A fifth, the Sterilization Potion, controls breeding. The Shelter Book is also available for shelter-related tasks.

Moving and tracking cats

1. Craft a Pet Carrier. Use it on a tamed cat to pick the cat up, then use the carrier again on a block to place the cat down.

2. Open the Cat Book to view the cats you own and check their status.

3. Use an Adoption Certificate on a wild cat to claim it as yours.

4. Use a Release Certificate on a cat you own to return it to the wild if you no longer want to keep it.

5. Use a Sterilization Potion on a cat to prevent it from breeding.

Keeping cats comfortable

Place a Tree Bed, a Cat Bowl, a Litter Box and a Scratching Post for each cat you keep. Add a Window Perch if you want the cat to have a view. Keep Cat Bowls filled and Litter Boxes clean. If you run a larger shelter, use the Shelter Book alongside the Cat Book to organise which cats are where. Use the Laser Pointer to play with your cats and keep them active.
