How to Breed Cats in Simply Cats

Preparing Two Cats

You need two tamed cats of opposite sexes. Tame wild cats by feeding them Catnip until hearts appear, then register them with an Adoption Certificate. Keep both cats fed using Cat Bowls so they stay in breeding condition.

Triggering Breeding

Feed each cat Catnip to put them in the mood. When two tamed cats are ready, they will breed on their own and the female will become pregnant. Make sure both cats have access to a Litter Box and a Tree Bed nearby.

Raising Kittens

After breeding, the mother cat will eventually give birth to kittens. Kittens grow over time and can be tamed by feeding them Catnip once they are old enough. Use an Adoption Certificate on each kitten to register ownership.

Managing the Litter

If you do not want more kittens, use a Sterilization Potion on either parent to stop future breeding. To move kittens or adults, use a Pet Carrier. To release a cat you no longer want to keep, use a Release Certificate.

Housing the Family

Provide enough Cat Bowls, Litter Boxes, and Tree Beds for every cat. Scratching posts such as Oak Scratching Post, Birch Scratching Post, Spruce Scratching Post, Jungle Scratching Post, Acacia Scratching Post, Dark Oak Scratching Post, Crimson Scratching Post, or Warped Scratching Post give cats something to scratch instead of your furniture.
