How to Make Tin Tools and Armor

Tin is the entry point for the SimpleOres metal line. Start by mining Raw Tin, then smelt it into Tin Ingot in a furnace or blast furnace.

Crafting Tin Gear

Use Tin Ingot in the standard tool and armor patterns to make Tin Sword, Tin Pickaxe, Tin Axe, Tin Shovel, and Tin Hoe. The same ingots craft Tin Helmet, Tin Chestplate, Tin Leggings, and Tin Boots. Tin Shears are also available if you need them.

Tin Blocks and Building Parts

Combine Tin Ingot into Block of Tin for storage, or keep Raw Tin as Block of Raw Tin. Tin Nugget is the small unit for compact storage and trading-style recipes. For decoration, craft Cut Tin, then Cut Tin Slab and Cut Tin Stairs. Tin Bars, Tin Door, and Tin Pressure Plate round out the functional blocks.

What to Do Next

Tin gear is cheap but soft, so treat it as a stepping stone. Bank your extra Tin Ingot and move on to Mythril or Adamantium once you find those ores. If you want a matching base, use Cut Tin Stairs and Cut Tin Slab alongside Block of Tin for walls and floors.
