Setting Up a Test Pressure Plate Trigger
Placing the Test Pressure Plate
The Test Pressure Plate is a registered block in SimpleCore API. Place it on top of a solid block — dirt, stone, or planks all work. It occupies the same space as a vanilla pressure plate and sits flush with the block below.
Triggering It
Walk over the Test Pressure Plate or drop an item onto it. When something rests on it, the plate emits a redstone signal to any adjacent redstone dust, repeater, or mechanism. Connect redstone dust from the plate to a door, piston, or lamp to see the signal fire.
Because it is a pressure plate, it responds to both players and dropped items. Use this to build a simple detection circuit: place a Test Furnace nearby, smelt an item, and drop the output onto the Test Pressure Plate to confirm the plate registers the item.
Testing All Registry Entries Together
Combine the Test Pressure Plate with Original Copper Ore, Test Furnace, and Test Shears in one area. Mine ore, smelt it in the Test Furnace, shear a block with Test Shears, and step on the Test Pressure Plate. If every action produces the expected result, all four SimpleCore API registry entries are loading and functioning. Any failure points to a load-order or dependency issue rather than the individual block.
