How to Import and Export Items Automatically

Pull items in with Import Cable

Place an Import Cable against the container or machine you want to pull from, then connect it to the network with Network Cable. Items in that container move into network storage. If you only want certain items pulled, use a Filtered Import Cable in place of the Import Cable and set its filter.

Push items out with Export Cable

Place an Export Cable against the destination container and link it to the network. The network pushes stored items into that container. Combine Export Cable with a Processing Cable when the destination is a machine that processes items rather than stores them.

Control the flow

Add upgrades to cables to change behavior. Speed Upgrade increases transfer rate. Stack Upgrade moves larger stacks per operation. Stock Upgrade keeps a target amount in the destination. Void Upgrade destroys overflow. Slowness Upgrade throttles transfer when you want a slow trickle. Operation Upgrade changes how an operation is performed. Place the upgrade in the cable's upgrade slot, then reopen the Controller to confirm items are moving. If nothing transfers, verify the cable touches the target block and that a continuous Network Cable path runs back to the Controller.
