How to Build Your First Simple Storage Network

Place the root and controller

Start by placing a Storage Network Root. This is the anchor block for everything else. Place a Controller next to it or connect it with Network Cable. The Controller is where you open the network's main interface to see all stored items.

Connect storage and cables

Run Network Cable from the Controller to each storage block you want on the network. Place a Storage Inventory and connect it with Network Cable; this block holds items for the network. For chests and other containers, use a Network Collection Interface against the container and link it back with Network Cable. A Network Drawer can also be placed and linked to store items directly.

Extend and verify

Use Link Cable to bridge gaps between cable runs, and Filtered Link Cable when you want to restrict what passes through a segment. Once blocks are connected, open the Controller. Every linked Storage Inventory, Network Drawer, and Network Collection Interface should appear as part of one pooled inventory. If a block is missing, check that its cable path reaches the Controller without a break. Use the Network Guide Book in-game for the exact shaped recipes for each block, since all recipes in this mod are crafting_shaped.
