How to Get and Use the Creative Sponge

Reaching the Top Tier

The Creative Sponge and Creative Sponge on a Stick are the highest tier in the mod. You reach them through the upgrade chain, not by crafting them from scratch. The chain runs: Sponge on a Stick, Magmatic Sponge on a Stick, Energized Sponge on a Stick, Compressed Sponge on a Stick, Compressed Magmatic Sponge on a Stick, Compressed Creative Sponge on a Stick.

Crafting the Creative Sponge Block

The Creative Sponge block is produced through the mod's crafting recipes using the compressed sponge materials. Once you have the block, combine it with a stick to get the Creative Sponge on a Stick.

What It Clears

The Creative Sponge and Creative Sponge on a Stick clear the largest area of any tier. Use the block for bulk fluid removal in a fixed zone and the stick for targeted clearing. They handle the same fluid types as the lower tiers but at greater scale.

Practical Tips

Because the Creative tier sits at the end of a long chain, build the intermediate items in order and store them. If you lose a stick, you must re-craft from the previous tier. Keep a spare Sponge block and a spare stick in your inventory so you can rebuild a lost tier without a full restart. Place the Creative Sponge block near the edge of a fluid body to maximize the area it drains.
