How to Grow Fruit Trees and Harvest Fruit

Planting Saplings

Fruit trees start from saplings: Apple Sapling, Apricot Sapling, Banana Sapling, Cherry Sapling, and Mango Sapling. Plant a sapling on dirt or grass with clear space above and around it so the tree can form. Each sapling grows into its matching tree with Fruit Tree Log and the corresponding leaves — Apple Leaves, Apricot Leaves, Banana Leaves, Cherry Leaves, or Mango Leaves.

Collecting the Harvest

Once the leaves are in place, harvest the fruit they bear: Apples from Apple Leaves, Apricots from Apricot Leaves, Bananas from Banana Leaves, Cherries from Cherry Leaves, and Mangoes from Mango Leaves. Break only the leaves you need and leave the trunk and remaining canopy intact so the tree keeps producing. Replant any saplings you collect to expand your orchard.

Turning Fruit into Pies

Fruit feeds directly into pie recipes. Apple Pie, Apricot Pie, Blackberry Pie, Blueberry Pie, and Cherry Pie are all craftable. Blackberries and Blueberries come from Blackberry Bush and Blueberry Bush rather than trees, so plant those bushes alongside your orchard. Bananas also go into Banana Bread, giving you a second use for that harvest.
