How to Grow and Harvest Grapevines

Planting the Vine

Grapevines use a three-part structure: Grapevine Trunk, Grapevine Head, and Grapevine. Place a Grapevine Trunk on the ground, then attach a Grapevine Head to the top of it. From the Grapevine Head, Grapevine blocks extend outward as the plant matures. Give the structure room to spread along a wall or fence line so the vines have space to reach.

Harvesting Grapes

Once Grapevine blocks are present, harvest them when they are ripe to collect grapes. The Grapevine Head is the anchor point — if you break the trunk or head, the rest of the vine above it will not stay supported, so leave the trunk and head in place and only take the mature vine sections. Replant by placing a new Grapevine Trunk and Grapevine Head if you want a second vine elsewhere.

Using Grapes

Grapes feed directly into the Fermenter. Combine grapes with the Fermenter to produce fermented drinks such as Beer, Cider, and Cauim. Keep a steady vine going so you always have grapes on hand for fermenting batches. If you also grow Barley, you can pair grain and fruit production to keep the Fermenter busy.
