How to Craft and Equip the Basic Diving Set

Crafting the Air Tank and Helmet

Start by crafting the Air Tank, Diving Helmet, Diving Pants, and Flippers. The Diving Helmet requires a Diving Helmet Core as its central component, so craft the Core first, then surround it with the remaining helmet materials in a shaped recipe. The Air Tank is a separate shaped recipe and is worn on the chest slot. Diving Pants and Flippers are shaped recipes that fill the leggings and boots slots respectively.

Equipping and Using the Set

Open your inventory and place each piece in its matching armor slot: Diving Helmet on your head, Air Tank on your chest, Diving Pants on your legs, and Flippers on your feet. With the full set equipped you can breathe and move underwater without the usual penalties. If you want light while submerged, craft the Diving Helmet (Headlamp) by combining a Diving Helmet with a light source in a shapeless recipe, then swap it into your head slot. The headlamp variant replaces the plain helmet and still counts as part of the set. Keep spare Air Tanks in your inventory if you plan long dives, since the tank is the piece you will most often need to replace.
