Adjust Shader Brightness and Contrast for Your Setup

Access Shader Settings

Open the Shader Options menu while in-game by pressing the designated key (usually found in your controls menu under "Shader Options"). This opens a panel where you can fine-tune visual output without restarting.

Customize Lighting Levels

Look for brightness and contrast sliders. Silva Pro's default settings aim for clean vanilla lighting, but your monitor and room lighting affect how the image appears to you.

  • Increase brightness if caves feel too dark or if you're playing in a bright room
  • Decrease brightness if daylight feels washed out or if you're in a dark environment
  • Adjust contrast to make shadows more defined or softer depending on preference

Fine-Tune Sky and Sun

Separate controls often exist for sky brightness and sun intensity. Experiment with these independently—you might want a bright sky but softer sun glare, or vice versa.

Test Your Changes

Move between different times of day and lighting conditions (caves, forests, open sky) to ensure your settings feel comfortable across all scenarios. Changes apply immediately, so you can adjust on the fly without performance impact.
