How to Repair Silent Gear Tools and Armor

Repair Kits

Repairing gear restores durability without rebuilding the item. The repair material depends on the tier of the gear. Basic gear uses a Crude Repair Kit. Higher-tier gear uses a material-specific kit such as a Crimson Repair Kit or an Azure Repair Kit.

Repair Steps

1. Craft or obtain the correct Repair Kit for your gear's material tier.

2. Place the damaged tool, weapon, or armor piece and the Repair Kit into a crafting grid.

3. Combine them. The item's durability is restored.

If you cannot craft the exact kit, you can still repair by combining the damaged item with the same material used to build it. For example, Crimson Iron gear repairs with Crimson Iron Ingot, and Azure Silver gear repairs with Azure Silver Ingot. Blaze Gold gear repairs with Blaze Gold Ingot.

Salvaging Instead

If repair is not worth it, use the Salvager block. Place unwanted Silent Gear tools or armor into the Salvager to break them back into their component parts, such as Axe Head, Binding, or Cord. Those parts can then be reused in new gear_crafting recipes at the Gear Smithing Table.
