Crafting the Brush

The Signpost paint brush is crafted with a shaped recipe at a crafting table. It is the tool used to change the appearance of your Sign Posts so different routes, regions, or factions can be told apart at a glance.

Painting Sign Posts

1. Craft a Signpost paint brush.

2. Place the Sign Post you want to recolour — Oak, Stone, Iron, or Red Mushroom Sign Post.

3. Hold the Signpost paint brush and use it on the placed post.

4. The post takes on the brush's colour, letting you visually separate one route from another.

Organising a Network

Colour is the fastest way to make a large signpost network readable. Assign one colour per destination or per road. For example, paint every post along your main road the same colour, and use a second colour for a branch line.

Pair the brush with the Sign angle wrench: the wrench sets the direction each post points, and the brush sets how it looks. Place the post, angle it with the wrench, then paint it with the brush.

If you later reroute a path, you do not need to break the posts. Re-angle them with the wrench and repaint them with the brush to match the new route.
