How to Craft and Place Every Sign Post Variant

Crafting the Sign Posts

Four Sign Post blocks exist: Oak Sign Post, Stone Sign Post, Iron Sign Post, and Red Mushroom Sign Post. All are made with shaped crafting recipes. Each recipe produces the post block itself, which you then place in the world.

Place a Sign Post on the ground like any normal block. Once placed, it acts as a directional marker you can angle toward a destination.

Choosing a Material

• Oak Sign Post — the basic wooden version, good for early-game path marking.
• Stone Sign Post — a sturdier look for roads and settlements.
• Iron Sign Post — the most durable-looking variant, suited to long-distance routes.
• Red Mushroom Sign Post — a decorative variant for themed builds such as swamp or Nether-adjacent paths.

If you already have the raw material in block form, check the stonecutter for the stone and iron variants — the mod includes stonecutting recipes alongside its shaped crafting recipes, so some conversions can be done at a stonecutter instead of a crafting table.

Placing a Route

1. Craft the Sign Post variant matching your build.

2. Place one at each junction or turn along your path.

3. Use the Sign angle wrench on a placed Sign Post to rotate it so it points toward the next waypoint.

4. Repeat until the full route is marked.

Keep a Sign angle wrench in your inventory whenever you place posts, since you will want to adjust the facing after placement.
