Using Sign Buttons in Builds

Placement and Activation

Sign Buttons are button blocks. Place one against a solid surface the same way you would place any button, then press it to trigger the redstone signal. Because there is a variant for every wood type, you can match the button to the surrounding planks, logs, or signs.

Choose the variant that fits the build:

• Acacia Sign Button, Birch Sign Button, Cherry Sign Button, Dark Oak Sign Button, Jungle Sign Button, Mangrove Sign Button, Oak Sign Button, Pale Oak Sign Button, and Spruce Sign Button for overworld woods.
• Crimson Sign Button and Warped Sign Button for nether woods.
• Bamboo Sign Button for bamboo builds.

Matching Wood to Wood

Keep the button consistent with nearby signs and planks. A Spruce Sign Button sits naturally on a Spruce build, while a Warped Sign Button suits a Warped-themed area. Since each button is crafted from its matching sign, gather the signs for the wood types you plan to use before placing them.

Use them wherever you would use a normal button: door openers, lamp switches, or hidden redstone inputs. The only difference is the wood texture, which lets the button blend into the build instead of standing out.
