Optimize Performance While Using Shaderific Vanilla Shaders
Adjust Graphics Settings for Smoother Gameplay
Shaderific Vanilla Shaders is designed to be lightweight, but you can fine-tune performance further:
1. Keep Graphics set to Fabulous (required for the shader)
2. Lower Render Distance if you experience lag—start at 12 chunks and increase gradually
3. Disable Smooth Lighting if performance drops significantly
4. Turn off Particles or set them to Minimal in crowded areas
5. Reduce Entity Shadows or disable them entirely
Monitor Frame Rate
Open the Debug Screen (F3 on most keyboards) to see your current FPS. Aim for consistent performance above 30 FPS for smooth gameplay.
If the shader still causes stuttering on older hardware, try:
- Lowering your GUI Scale to reduce UI rendering overhead
- Closing unnecessary background applications
- Ensuring your graphics drivers are up to date
The shader's bloom effect is the most demanding feature—if needed, you can reduce visual quality elsewhere without disabling Fabulous mode.
