Adjust Water Transparency and Reflection Settings

Access Shader Settings

Open the shader options menu while in-game by pressing the designated shader settings key (typically found in your controls menu). Look for the Water or Visuals category to find transparency and reflection controls.

Customize Water Appearance

SerenityShaders provides sliders to control how clear the water appears and how strong reflections are on the surface. If you want water to be more transparent so you can see underwater structures clearly, increase the transparency slider. For a more mirror-like effect with stronger reflections of the sky and surroundings, boost the reflection intensity.

Fine-Tune for Your Hardware

If water reflections cause performance drops, reduce the reflection quality or distance. Lowering these settings maintains the gentle aesthetic while keeping your frame rate stable during regular gameplay.

Apply and Test

After adjusting settings, close the menu and observe how water looks in different lighting conditions—near the surface at noon, in caves, and during sunset. The changes apply immediately, so you can experiment until the water matches your preferred balance between clarity and visual beauty.
