How to Breathe and Move Underwater with Scuba Gear

Staying Submerged

With the full Scuba Gear set equipped — Scuba Helmet, Scuba Chestplate, Scuba Leggings, and Scuba Boots — you can remain underwater without surfacing for air. The Scuba Helmet is the piece that handles breathing, so never remove it while submerged. Keep the helmet in its armor slot at all times during a dive.

Enter water with all four pieces already equipped. Swim down and hold your position; the set lets you stay under instead of being forced up for air. If you need to resurface, swim upward normally. To dive again, simply swim back down — no re-equipping required as long as the set stays on.

Moving and Working Underwater

The Scuba Boots and Scuba Leggings support movement while submerged, so you can swim and walk along the bottom with the full set on. The Scuba Chestplate completes the set and must stay equipped for the gear to function as a whole.

Practical habits for a dive:

• Equip all four pieces before entering water
• Keep the Scuba Helmet on for the entire dive
• Do not swap armor pieces mid-dive
• Surface normally when you are finished

If breathing stops working, check that the Scuba Helmet is still in the helmet slot and that the other three Scuba Gear pieces are equipped. A missing piece breaks the set.
