Locating a Screenshot File

Access the actual file folder where your screenshots are stored without manually searching your computer. Open the Gallery and select the screenshot you want to locate. Click on the thumbnail to preview it.

Using the Go To Button

In the fullscreen preview or action menu, click the Go To button (or "Open File Location" option). This opens your computer's file explorer directly to the folder containing that specific screenshot. Your game remains open in the background.

Working with Files

Once the file location opens, you can perform any file operation: rename the screenshot, move it to another folder, edit it with external software, or check its file properties. This is useful when you need to organize screenshots into project folders, prepare images for editing, or verify file details.

Return to Minecraft and your pause menu remains exactly where you left it. You can continue browsing other screenshots or resume gameplay without restarting.
