Planning a Scarecrow Layout with All 16 Variants

Know Your Full Palette

The mod gives you sixteen placeable scarecrow blocks: the Primitive Scarecrow plus fifteen colored variants — Black, Blue, Brown, Cyan, Gray, Green, Light Blue, Light Gray, Lime, Magenta, Orange, Pink, Red, White, and Yellow Scarecrow. Each is a distinct registry entry, so you can place any combination in the world.

Produce Them Efficiently

Craft a batch of Primitive Scarecrows first using the shaped recipe. Then convert them into colors with the shapeless recipe, pairing each Primitive Scarecrow with the dye for your target color. Since the conversion is shapeless, you can work quickly without worrying about grid arrangement. Build one of each color if you want the complete set on hand.

Design the Arrangement

Decide on a pattern before you place blocks. Options include:

• A single row alternating colors for a border effect.
• Grouping matching colors into clusters.
• A gradient using Light Blue, Cyan, Blue, and Black Scarecrow in sequence.
• A full rainbow using Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Cyan, Blue, and Magenta Scarecrow.

Place and Adjust

Right-click a solid block to place each scarecrow. If a placement looks wrong, break the block to recover it and reposition. Because every color is its own block, you can swap individual scarecrows without disturbing the rest of the layout. Keep spare Primitive Scarecrows and dye in storage so you can add or replace colors on the spot.
