Converting a Primitive Scarecrow into a Colored One

The Conversion Logic

You do not need to craft a colored scarecrow from scratch. The mod's recipes let you take an existing Primitive Scarecrow and convert it into any of the fifteen colored variants using a shapeless recipe. The Primitive Scarecrow is the common input for every color.

Step by Step

1. Obtain a Primitive Scarecrow by crafting it from its base materials.

2. Choose your target color from the fifteen available: Black, Blue, Brown, Cyan, Gray, Green, Light Blue, Light Gray, Lime, Magenta, Orange, Pink, Red, White, or Yellow Scarecrow.

3. In a crafting grid, combine the Primitive Scarecrow with the dye matching that color. The recipe is shapeless, so placement in the grid is irrelevant.

4. Take the resulting colored scarecrow from the output slot.

Recoloring an Already-Placed Scarecrow

If you have already placed a Primitive Scarecrow in the world, break it first to recover the block, then run it through the shapeless recipe with your chosen dye. The conversion consumes the Primitive Scarecrow and the dye and returns the colored version.

Batch Conversion

Because the input is always the same Primitive Scarecrow, you can craft several Primitive Scarecrows in advance and convert them one by one into different colors. This is the fastest route to a multi-colored set when you already have a stockpile of the base block.
