Crafting Scanner Modules

Blank Modules First

Every detection module starts from a Blank Scanner Module. Craft Blank Scanner Modules using a shapeless recipe, then convert each blank into the specific module you need. You cannot install a Blank Scanner Module and expect results — it must be turned into a functional module.

Module Recipes

The mod uses shapeless and shaped recipes to produce its modules. Combine a Blank Scanner Module with the material that matches the target category:

  • Scanner Module: Block — detects placed blocks
  • Scanner Module: Chests — detects chests and similar containers
  • Scanner Module: Common Ores — detects common ore blocks
  • Scanner Module: Rare Ores — detects rare ore blocks
  • Scanner Module: Fluids — detects liquids
  • Scanner Module: Animals — detects passive creatures
  • Scanner Module: Monsters — detects hostile creatures
  • Scanner Module: Living Entity — detects living entities broadly
  • Scanner Module: Range — increases scan distance

Installing Modules

Open the Scanner interface and place the finished module into its module slot. Only one module is active at a time, so swap modules when you change tasks. If you want both detection and extra distance, install Scanner Module: Range alongside your detection module where the interface allows it. Keep spare modules in your inventory so you can switch between ores, chests, and entities without returning to a crafting table.
